Problem

An NGO from Australia needed a complete overhaul of their digital platform. We helped them achieve:

  • Faster downloading time 
  • News faster to the press for natural disasters
  • Easy Self Editing 
  • Improved user experience, increasing donations 

Easier Way to Make a Donation

We identified users who generally donate to NGOs and we conducted interviews to understand their mental models. 

Throughout the research we found users wanted to:

– Be able to do one off payments easily without too much fuss 

– Understand the goal of NGOs and how their dollar would support their cause

Result

  1. Purpose: We listened to the users and added how their donation would help directly. $135 provides 252 sachets of food.
  2. Automation: We made it seamless for users to donate reducing cognitive overload and making decisions for them.
  3. Clear UI Design: We removed the yellow buttons and added better copy and UI design that matched the outcome using logos.
